An Ode to Spring : Life lessons from a Rose

Updated: Oct 10, 2023

Life is a garden and you are the most elegantly perfumed rose

Good companions (good family, friends and loved ones) like lavender and sage, help you expand. Hydrangeas are good for you but you love sunlight and they love shade, so practice discernment. Fuschias (bad companions) aren’t for you but that’s okay because you are not for everyone and everyone is not for you. If for some reason, you find yourself next to a fuschia or the like, then do increase your sunlight, water, fertilizer and pesticides.

Your growth takes time, you will bloom when the conditions are optimal, that does not mean that you are not developing as pruning (rest, going inward and healing) are also necessary of your maturation. The more natural elements (healthy and holistic self care practices and habits, and consistent spiritual practices) in your fertilizers and pesticides, the more fragrant and abundant your blossoms will be.

In this garden, there is a finely balanced ecosystem (divine order), no two roses are exactly the same, so just bloom. Some may have the same colours, however each flower is unique with subtle differences in radiance, fragrance, size and composition. When you find your perfect bouquet of roses (soul tribe), your individual sweet scents will create a wondrous cacophony of perfume and sacred beauty.

If you are doubtful about your magnificence, then know that your pollen (unique gifts, talents and character) when collected by bees and carried by the wind, creates new life!

That is how divinely loved and worthy you are!
