How to identify, understand and shift your patterns

Patterns are unconscious behaviors we repeat in life

To understand your patterns, look at your significant others; your parents, siblings and then close relatives.

Ask yourself about their emotional behaviours like:

•Can they regulate their emotions?

•How do they speak about themselves and others?

•What is their relationship history?

•What are their coping mechanisms?

•Do they practice self care?

•Do they take responsibility or blame others?

•Do they have and respect boundaries?


Patterns are inherited or handed down in families because we unconsciously model them.


Until you notice the patterns within yourself.


To change your patterns, start practising non judgmental, curious exploration


Ask yourself:

-Do I respond, react, dissociate or bypass?

-What is this emotion I’m feeling?

-What is this trying to teach me?

-Allow yourself to feel the emotion without judging it

-Am I ready to let this go?
