Integration of the Self:

Inner child/Younger Self Work

When I started my innerwork and healing journey, the first aspect of exploring and understanding myself, my patterns, my beliefs and preferences came through doing the work with the most vulnerable parts of me.

My younger self.

My inner child, the little girl is who my heart.

I embarked on an inner journey to fully discover her, before, during and after my birth.

Me in my humanness and me in my soul essence.

The conditioning she took on through her environment, significant others and life circumstances.

The disempowering beliefs she had to unlearn about who she was and what she can and can’t do. I sat with her heart and we shed tears of grief, joy, deep pain, innocence and enlightenment together. We still do and it’s the most loving thing I’ve ever done and will continue to do for myself.

We became One.

I lovingly learnt about the goodness in my heart by understanding the positive intentions of my younger self and the limiting beliefs she took on.

A part of the unlearning to Becoming in this journey of life, love and enlightenment.

The need she had for love, safety, connection, acceptance, guidance, protection, and all the adaptations she took on in order to survive, the patterns that were playing out in my life. I understood her values and the beliefs and rules she took on about them. Then I chose new values.

Connecting to, learning from and healing my younger self, re-energised me and my shifted patterns in life.

Some wisdoms my younger self taught me:

Play and exploration are a part of daily life.

We lose our spark when we stop creating.

Our needs, perspectives and emotions matter.

The love, innocence, sensitivity and goodness that is your heart and essence is sacred, protect it.

We can do, become and achieve anything you want, so believe in yourself.

There was never anything wrong with you, the world was not able to hold your light, shine anyway

Lots of Love

Tasneem
